Westwind Brass is coming to Mission Trails! 🎺 We are thrilled to announce our FREE Holiday Concert at the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center Amphitheatre! This is a wonderful, family-friendly event for all ages. Come enjoy the sounds of the season as we perform festive brass selections and host a lively community sing-along. It's the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon and get into the holiday spirit!

July 2 & July 30: The Sun God in Stereo: The series opens and returns to Niki de Saint Phalle’s iconic Sun God (1983) with performances by Westwind Brass Friends (July 2) and the Sun God Electric Westwind Virtuosi (July 30), celebrating the sculpture’s whimsical joy and enduring pop culture status.

July 9: The Monumental Bear: Experience Tim Hawkinson’s massive, 180-ton, granite boulder sculpture Bear (2005) as the Westwind Virtuosi perform music that explores themes of scale, contrast, and enduring form.

July 16: Architectural Rhythms: The La Jolla Project Woodwinds will bring geometric precision to Richard Fleischner’s La Jolla Project (1984), whose 71 granite blocks reference architectural forms like posts and lintels.

July 23: Waves and Language: Unda Latin Brass will resonate alongside Ian Hamilton Finlay’s work UNDA (1987), using vibrant Latin sounds to evoke the wave (Latin: unda) sequence carved into the concrete poetry of the sculpture.
